Payment:
We appreciate payment at the time of treatment. For your convenience,
MasterCard, Visa, and Discover are accepted as a form of payment.
We also offer a variety of payment plan options as outlined below.
We ask that all outstanding balances be paid within 30 days.
We will be happy to assist in claim processing on
your behalf if you are covered by insurance. We do prefer to receive
½ of the fee charged at the initial appointment and the balance
in full at the time of completion. If your budget prevents you from
paying in this way, we would like to offer you a few alternatives
to help you cover the cost. Please be advised that one of the choices
below is required for the start of any treatment.
Option 1:
½ of estimate at time of initial appointment and the balance
at the completion.
Option 2:
Pay in full by CASH or CHECK at the start of the treatment and receive
a 5% discount (Option not available to patients with existing account
discounts). This discount is applied to any procedure over $500.00.
Option 3:
Pay ¼ of estimate at time of initial appointment and the
balance in 3 equal installments for the following 3 months with
no interest charged.
Option 4:
Pay ¼ of estimate at time of initial appointment and the
balance in 4, 5, or 6 equal installments on a monthly basis. (1.5%/month
interest fee applies with this payment option.)
Note:
Any outstanding balances 90 days or more overdue will be assessed
a finance charge of 1.5% per month.
Our philosophy regarding fees:
Our philosophy regarding fees is very simple. You get what you
pay for.
Many factors enter into the fee profile,
1. Time Provided: our effort is to not rush the procedure, we want the anesthetic to be delivered painlessly. Once injected, the doctor wants the area numbed sufficiently to keep you pain free throughout the procedure.
2. Team Skills: Our skills have been honed through the years and
our team works well together, but that type of continuity and consistency
of care does not happen over night.
3. Materials Used: We use the highest quality of materials and
laboratory facilities available.
4. Infection Control: We use the latest in modern protective measures
with no surcharge levied to the patients.
5. Continuing Education: A high priority to our office is the emphasis placed on staying current in whatever we are doing. Dr Micoli's personal goal is to attend no less than 50 hours per year in Continuing Education courses.
6. Satisfaction: We will work to provide to your satisfaction,
hopefully from the minute you enter our office. Be assured, until
you are happy, we are not satisfied.
All of these factors influence the performance of our dental care
for you. None of them are inexpensive to obtain. It is for all of
these reasons that we have evolved the fee schedule that charges
by the clock rather than by the procedure. All insurance carriers
pay for a usual and customary fee for a procedure and we have tried
to accommodate this mode of fee scheduling, but frankly you as our
patients are neither usual nor customary. Instead, we believe that
you are distinct and individual. Sometimes the quality of care cannot
be provided in the time allotted by the fee that the insurance company
claims as usual and customary. Based on almost 30 years of observation, I have no intention of providing care on that level. I hope you realize that we are committed to providing you, our patients, with the very best we can do. We expect that the fee will be fair for
the level of care you receive. If we do not meet your expectations - please tell us - we need to know.
