Dr. Micoli
"The greatest compliment our patients can give is the referral of their friends and loved ones."
- Dr. Richard A. Micoli

Hi. I am Dr. Richard Micoli. I am a local native having grown up in Rochester. I attended Bishop Kearney High School. I received my BA in Biology from Marist College, in Poughkeepsie N.Y. and my D.D.S. degree from the University of Maryland, in 1975. After a one-year general practice residency at Rochester General Hospital, I began my practice in Fairport at 113 South Main Street. Dr. Foster and I then relocated to Packet's Landing. In 1989 I moved into my present office here in Perinton.

I have been happily married to Gee Gee (Georgia Grace Hoke) for 36 years, who I met in Maryland while in dental training.

We have 5 daughters: Ellen, 32 years old, is married to Matthew Soffa and lives in Rochester. They are anxiously awaiting their first child's birth in July. Since they live in Rochester, you can be sure that grandma and grandpa will be seeing their first grandchild a lot. Catherine, 30 years old, lives in the Park Slope of Brooklyn where she works as a luncheon manager and evening wine bar manager at a local restaurant. Her love for fashion and dance are also after hour's projects. Pia, 26, also lives in Brooklyn with her partner, Lauren and loves teaching the middle schoolers and getting her masters. Gillian, 24, is enjoying her management position with Wegman's and lives in Rochester. She manages to find time to keep in shape riding her new bike and running. Anna, 22, went headlong into grad school at Nazareth and is 75% finished with her masters in education. She and her fiancé' Tom Gurnett will be married June 19, 2010. She is no longer our baby.

My wife and I are enjoying an almost empty nest with ballroom dancing and golf. Gee Gee has found a love with her award winning oil paintings. Both senior citizens are learning to play the piano. I love to sing, with the help of an instructor.

I am still busy with Bristol Mountain Ski Patrol, where I help train the new patrollers. I was recently awarded the Patroller of the year (2009), an honor bestowed annually to one ski patroller of the over 400 patrollers in the Genesee Valley Region.

My continuing education in dentistry has taken me into dental implant surgery. With the advent of this exciting technology, I have found it very beneficial to my patient's to replace missing teeth.

Dr Micoli has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1992. He has recently completed more than 500 hours of approved continued education courses and has earned an invitation from the Academy to take their Fellowship Exam. Upon passing, Dr Micoli will be granted the prestigious title of "Fellow" from the Academy.
